ROLE: Took over a critical product previously on hold for nearly 12 monthswith no obvious path to completion. Assembled an interdisciplinary team ofdesigners and fabricators to successfully redesign, prototype and completepilot installation of the product within 11 weeks of taking over the project.PROJECT SUMMARY: Uncovered and developed valuable, innovative featuresfor a working gen 1 commercial secondary glazing system while vastlyincreasing the applications for this robust secondary glazing system bysimultaneously developing a gen 2 version that preserves nearly all toolingand component investment from the award winning gen 1 product.RESULTS: Designed, developed and sourced mechanical assemblies utilizingextruded and die-cast aluminum, formed wire, extruded thermoplastic, lasercut foam and injection molded thermoplastic components resulting in the #1commercial secondary glazing solution.
