Project Management role within the Property Team at PlaceMakers / Mico & Forman. The role covered the full project lifecycle from feasibility and preliminary design to delivery of the completed project, settlement of the budget, variation wrap-up and negotiation of final rent.Project values ranged up to c. $15m, with fitout capex budgets of c. $2m and required managing multiple greenfield and refurbishment projects at various locations throughout the country.

Responsibilities:• Accountability for the management, quality and timeliness of work produced by the workshop team;• Provision of technical guidance with respect to construction and installation of commissioned work;• Managing multiple projects with responsibility for delivering projects against agreed scope and customer expectations;• Monitoring project risks, especially onsite, to identify and resolve problems in order to maximise productivity and profitability; • Promptly acting on client feedback;• Building positive rapport with and managing expectations of stakeholders• Proposing and implementing workable solutions to daily problems; and• Ensuring the highest health and safety standards are maintained at all times.Project highlights included the provision of joinery packages for the refurbishment of a four story listed colonial style house in Central London, a high end rural-residential new build Georgian-styled villa and the refurbishment of Central London penthouse apartment. Keys to success included establishing and maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders, along with a strong focus on industry knowledge, problem solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:• Installation of alcove units, wardrobes, kitchens, floating shelves and libraries;• Adapted units onsite to allow seamless installation; and• Coordination and maintenance of clear lines of communication between the sites and the workshop as well as with other stakeholders.

Responsibilities and highlights included:• Created the wheelhouse furniture (navigation desk that interlocked with a spiral staircase) and the feature unit in the saloon to house a TV with invisible panels to store auxiliary requirements for the Dubois Sailing Yacht;• In charge of the installation and fit-out of the galley on the Catamaran. Closely involved in the problems solving process with the designers whilst creating and fitting the furniture. Responsible for the project timeline including that of sub-contractors (electricians, plumbers, insulators, fabricators). Worked closely with the spray shop manager, furniture making team and upholstery manager to balance workloads and meet project deadlines; and• Installed in the galley the teak timber flooring, built walls to install kitchen, kitchen units, the fire safety system, the remote control electronic system, veneer doors, locks, ceiling panels and hardware.

Project highlights whilst working at Buildings and Renovations by De Geest included:• Sole responsibility for the completion of two G. J. Gardiner homes and supervision of an apprentice. Responsible for organising sub-contractors, materials and the overall timeline of the projects;• Built two architectural houses in Wanaka; and• Interior fit-out of finished houses including wardrobes, architraves, windows and kitchens.
