RSL COM UK LTD was an integrated B2B provider of telecommunications services, including fixed line, mobile, data networking and internet services based in London, UK with approximately 700 staff across 4 operating divisions. Working with the Managing Director and Management Board, I implemented a turnaround startegy raising cash through the divestment of a non core subsidiary and reducing operating costs by 20% through integrating back office operations whilst maintaining employee loyalty and increasing engagement. The US Parent company then entered Chapter 11 and appointed administrators. We successfully continued to operate the company, retaining all key customers and staff whilst attempting to find a trade buyer or private equity/venture capital investor. We were ultimately forced to place the company into voluntary administration and I was retained as 1 of 2 remaining directors by the Administrators over a 6 month period to operate the company whilst assisting them in negotiating deals with prospective vendors resulting in 7 separate sale agreements, ensuring the retention of all key staff to maximize value for creditors in the sale process.
