I began my career in logistics in 1997, with RPS, shortly after the UPS strike, as a shipping automation consultant and programmer. I integrated the in-house branded Malvern and then Clippership systems. Because of my Spanish/English language skills, I spent many years working in the transborder group and developed training documentation for shipping automation, in Spanish for both RPS and for FedEx, after the merger. In 2003 I started with DHL as a Project Manger for implementation and retention (with a significant emphasis on transborder opportunities) and helped to create and refine processes for onboarding and retention. I also certified in Six Sigma (green belt) with an emphasis in LEAN at that time. After the massive layoffs in 2008, I spent a short amount of time at DHL Global Mail and then had the opportunity to work with an LTL consultant and also for a value-added reseller of shipping and warehouse automation, before coming on with OnTrac in 2012. I oversee onboarding of new large opportunities which includes shipping agreement preparation and redline management, provide pricing (including RFP responses) and profitability analytics, operational analytics and prepare customer business reviews. Many of these processes I created or enhanced to improve turnaround times. Pricing analysis', for example went from a multi-day turnaroud to as little as 20 minutes.
