Responsible for providing the vision and organizational guidance for enabling, supporting, and evolving the Army's simulation training capability. Responsible for enabling and revitalizing home-station training through the Integrated Training Environment (ITE), Joint National Training Capability (JNTC), and Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). Responsible for supporting division and corps exercises through the Global Simulation Capability (GSC). Responsible for the evolution of training toward one live-synthetic, complex training environment.

The curriculum included: examination of strategic thinking in regards to group dynamics, creative and critical thinking; examination of the nature of leadership in a strategic environment, ethical considerations; examination of strategic management systems that identify, develop, and resource capabilities to fulfill the national military strategy and the functions of planning, programming and budgeting systems; study of US national security implementing strategic guidance in developing near and long term plans and programs, theater organization , joint and multinational operations, and in campaign planning and design; examination of six regions of the world within an analytical framework; and completion of an in-depth research project on enabling mission command within the Total Force. Recognized by the vast majority of my faculty instructors as having exceeded standards in written communications, and very successful informal leader of the seminar adding great value to the academic year.

Chief of the Training Division for the US Army South, Service Component Command to US Southern Command. Responsible for all training management and readiness reporting for US Army South and its subordinate units across its area of responsibility. Specific responsibilities included: strategic and Army reporting via Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), unit training assessments in support of the command inspection program, management of the short, mid, and long-range training calendars, troop and Mission Training Specific Allotment (MTSA) school assignments and budget management, overall ammunition management, lessons learned program, annual training guidance development, Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) review and development, quarterly training briefs, staff orientation seminar, management of casualty assistance program, and major training courses and systems training.

Deputy Director of Simulation (DOS) at the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE). Responsible for simulation and mission command support of individual through collective level training and exercises to enable army aviation professional military education and prepare deploying aviation units for contingency operations. Responsible for testing and accreditation of 292 aviation simulators worldwide. Provide leadership of four officers, five warrant officers, two noncommissioned officers, 22 government civilians, and nearly 200 contract personnel supporting the DOS and USAACE missions. Provide management oversight of over $20 million worth of equipment and manage an annual budget in excess of $95 million. Responsible for enforcement of administrative, personnel, programmatic, and management controls for the Directorate. Served as the Director in his absence.

Division Chief of the Operations Research, Modeling, and Analysis Division within the Research and Development Enterprise of the DoD's Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Responsible for leading government, military, and contractor personnel in the employment of constructive simulation and analytical tools in support of decision making and investment strategies concerning innovative concept exploration of the Agency's objectives. Managed a $7.4 million budget in support of 14 contracts, spread across six portfolio areas. Supported DoD, OSD (AT&L) and DTRA programs and portfolios in reducing, eliminating, countering and mitigating the effects of weapons of mass destruction with full spectrum constructive simulation, physics based modeling, systems analyses and data analytics. Served as Acting Deputy Director of the Innovation and Systems Engineering Office for four months, responsible for assisting the Director in managing 42 military, government civilians and contractors in the execution of a RDT&E budget in excess of $50 million.

Functional Area 57, Simulation Operations, Career Manager and Assignments Officer. Responsible for the accession, training, worldwide assignment, career management, mentorship, and counseling of 207 Army Officers. Responsible for manning Army requirements in accordance with Army priorities, while leveraging officer skills and experiences. Maintained, reviewed, and prepared personnel records for Department of the Army promotion and selection boards. Developed and coordinated slatings for Intermediate Level Education, Senior Service College, and Advanced Civil Schooling. Served as Human Resources Command's liaison to the Army G3 Battle Command, Simulation, and Experimentation Directorate, shaping FA57 future structure and leading change. Provided professional guidance to senior leaders regarding FA57 officer assignments and development.

Served as the Chief of Training and Support Operations for the 1st Cavalry Division while deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom II (OIF II). Lead five officers and 12 enlisted Soldiers in managing training, simulations, ranges, ammunition, policies, new equipment fielding, convoy operations, and administrative operations. Specifically responsible for managing the Iraqi Theater of Operation multi-purpose range complex, Division Tactical Command Post (DTAC) readiness and deployment, Division weapons sustainment training plan, including the forecast and management of training ammunition. Additional responsibilities included training assistance in preparing Iraqi Security Forces, fielding, setup, and implementation of simulators for use in theater, coordinating follow-on unit pre-deployment and Combat Training Center visits, management of the Division's Troops-to-Task reporting, and serving as an Operations Officer in the Division Command Information Center.

Military Deputy for the National Simulation Center's (NSC) Digital Integration Office at Fort Hood, Texas. Responsible for managing Army simulations with battle command systems at the Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF) through training and operational testing support. Responsible as the NSC project officer to assist with simulation fielding and exercise support at the National Training Center (NTC). Synchronized live, virtual, and constructive simulation support for III Corps, 1st Cavalry Division and 4th Infantry Division battle command training. Coordinated simulation to Army Battle Command System (ABCS) interoperability certification with the CTSF and STRICOM. Assisted the Chief in managing a seven person contractor team and the operating budget.
