I'm excited about using embedded programming and power electronics engineering to solve real world problems and enrich people's lives. I am also a member of my local Engineers Without Borders professional chapter and currently developing a robust high-intensity UV LED array for water purification to help the group bring safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Electrical EngineerWagz, Inc May 2018 - PresentPortsmouth, New Hampshire, UsElectrical design and test with firmware support. Specializing in battery powered designs, embedded circuits and cellular applications. -
Analog Circuit DesignerTexas Instruments Jun 2012 - PresentMy role is mainly in analog circuit design with more recent responsibilities as mixed-signal design verification lead. Analog design responsibilities include amplifier and current source design and simulation in CMOS technology primarily using Cadence circuit simulation tools. Circuit designs are simulated across temperature and voltage ranges as well as process variation to ensure robustness under all operating conditions. My work in design verification focuses largely on the use of verilog and perl scripts to automate circuit simulations and error condition checking within the Cadence environment in order to exercise the complete functionality of a finished part under all external configurations and operating conditions before the layout is shipped to production. The simulations are constructed in a manner which allows for the submission of hundreds of corner case simulations as well as re-simulation following future changes with the touch of a button.

Intern In Wireless Systems BranchNasa May 2011 - Aug 2011In this role, I worked as part of a small group to develop and test wireless sensor networks based on the Zigbee protocol, and led a performance-based comparison of Zigbee to other wireless networking protocols in controlled RF-noisy environments. Zigbee communication was accomplished using a CC2530 radio stack and MSP430 microcontroller from Texas Instruments.

Student Research FellowNational Science Foundation May 2010 - Aug 2010Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, I developed a computer simulation of cellular mutations in C using multi-threaded programming to be run on a distributed-processing supercomputer. After completing the randomized simulation, it was run 20 million times for statistical significance and the results of this simulation were included in the publication of a scientific paper in Chromosome Research, Nov. 2010.
