I am a Team Leader at Scottish Enterprise and currently have line management responsibility for 3 professional staff. My team and I are engaged in a wide range of high profile, high value, economic development projects including the development and roll out a new funding mechanism (Manufacturing Property Challenge Programme) to support the development of new speculative industrial accommodation to meet the needs of manufacturing companies; working with Renfrewshire Council to deliver the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS) at Inchinnan; and developing a new funding support mechanism to support the development of speculative accommodation for the Life Science sector. Central to the successful delivery of these projects is the need to work effectively with key stakeholders. Previous projects I have been involved in includes overseeing a grant product for manufacturing focused Scottish based companies; the expansion of the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), multi million pound infrastructure development at Energy Park Fife; performance management activity and commercial property sales and acquisitions.

I had line management responsibility for 3 surveyors and advised client departments how to maximise the value of their property portfolios. This included advising on site acquisitions and disposals as well as implementing a property rationalisation programme for a client department.

I implemented major property projects and ensured best value was obtained from commercial property deals. I helped facilitate the development of a £2.5m community football facility, provided property advice on a PPP schools project and concluded a number of major property disposals. I also negotiated ransom strip and overage payments and analysed and presented complex information.

I undertook agency instructions, carried out valuations and rent reviews of commercial property and helped managed a large industrial estate. I liaised with clients and tenants on a daily basis, developed new business leads and consistently met fee targets.

Assisted with valuations, agency work and the management of 2 shopping centres.
