It also included requirements gathering, high level solution design and vendor assessments for a modern rostering solution for 1200 staff. Close coordination with programme and change management, internal/external stakeholders and PMO staff were required to ensure the project was planned and delivered following best practice project delivery methodologies. Leadership responsibilities including ensuring the team, which spanned internal and external suppliers, dedicated project team members and operational stakeholders worked in a cohesive and coordinated fashion.

Managed the cutover from Infor M3 to SAP S/4HANA ERP. Having joined the project mid-flight, a cutover plan was designed and implemented under tight timeframes. The plan required coordinating the needs of all business verticals including seven manufacturing plants located on three sites. Close working relationships were built with the existing project team, the system integrator, internal/external stakeholders and project governance that resulted in a successful ramp down, technology cutover and the ramp up for this dairy manufacturer.

Managed the implementation of Interlogic's Warehouse Management System (WMS) into new and existing warehouse operations for this food manufacturer. Responsibilities included developing monitoring the development and testing of the solution, developing a cutover plan and providing leadership to the project team and system integrator. This was a part-time engagement, which ended to allow full concentration on the SAP cutover.

This project also included the successful manufacture of new UHT products required to support initial customer engagement.My responsibilities included maintaining enterprise-wide stakeholder engagement to ensure the requirements of the front line and back-office functions were met, and extensive supplier relationship management (due to the nature of the pioneering work undertaken in this project). This required the management of a diverse team from Manufacturing, Innovation & Technical, Supply Chain, Quality/Regulatory/Laboratory, Information Systems and Finance, and involved reporting to the Executive Leadership Team.

Delivery of two strategic growth projects:o Completion of a new blending and canning plant following a business acquisition (budget circa $30M), including the commissioning of manufacturing plant, processes, and products necessary to support existing supply agreements for the manufacture of infant formula products destined for the export market.o Delivery of a project to design, build, and commission an Advanced Speciality Liquids Plant and associated services and civil infrastructure (budget circa $125M). This project was delivered in two phases, with Phase One (the focus of this role) concentrating on the commissioning of the manufacturing plant, processes, and products necessary for the manufacture of fresh milk and cream products for the domestic market. This project also included the successful transition of the manufacture and supply of these products for a major South Island supermarket chain.My responsibilities for both projects including building and maintaining enterprise-wide stakeholder engagement in order to deliver the scope (spanning front line manufacture, maintenance, product development, quality/regulatory/laboratory, and supply chain requirements through to back-office business functions as well as end to end technology integration for internal and external/customer stakeholders), the management of a diverse project team from all sectors of the business, and extensive customer and supplier relationship management. Project reporting to the Executive Leadership Team was also required.

During my contract with House of Travel I managed the following projects.House of Travel System Migration:This project was my primary focus, and included replacing a legacy ticketing system used an Australian based subsidiary of the House of Travel Group with the integrated solution as used by the New Zealand business. The solution includes a web-based travel booking system, a financial mid-office solution and an Enterprise Data Warehouse. Due to the differences in business processes, a high degree of customisation was undertaken within the booking system including delivering new functionality not previously utilised in New Zealand. Significant architectural enhancements, database restructuring and product configuration changes were made, requiring development by key external vendors and internal developers, data analysts and support staff. All enhancements were delivered into production without negatively impacting New Zealand system users.The project team ranged between 20 - 30 staff across New Zealand and Australia.House of Travel Digital:These projects were a secondary focus, and included delivery an online portal assisting customers to explore travel options while in the dreaming phase, a mobile optimised version of the www.houseoftravel.co.nz website and delivery of a mobile app developed for the iOS and Android platforms.
