I started my career in 1992 as a Welder/Fabricator building railroad cars. I then moved into Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing. That is where I started Department Supervision, Management (including Operations) and Robotic programming where I spent 20 years learning from anyone I could, eventually passing what I learned to the next generation through my management roles. I used all of my experience, training and resources to start my own business in 2009. That is where I offered my experience in the form of build, installation, design and fabrication of automated systems, management consulting to include temporary Operations / Management set-up, analysis and restructuring. Shop layout, flow and department production analysis. Some of my consulting jobs came from automation projects that required employee training and management reviews, while the majority were from referrals. After COVID and knee replacements, an opportunity to use my experience in Project Management presented itself, so I closed my business and accepted a full time role.
