In this role, I have been presented the opportunity to work with an incredible group of "owners" and when I say "owners" I mean everyone I work with! Shawmut is an ESOP and each employee is an owner. I lead a team of recruiters to identify, engage and assess talent for our open positions nationally. The team has delivered incredible results with the creative use of tools and resources along with a focus on an exceptional candidate experience.

I was presented the opportunity to manage foundational human resource services to the enterprise including; vendor management, HRIS, compensation, project management, benefit operations, payroll operations, recruiting operations and administration. I was able to enhance our partnership with Ceridian to broaden our service offering while introducing the transition to the Dayforce platform. Also led implementation of several outsourcing solutions to improve HR efficiencies while improving overall service.

In this role I transitioned from wireless into a new industry, insurance. I was thrilled to work with a strong group of HR leaders as I led a team that was focused on re-positioned the recruiting strategy to focus on talent sourcing vs. applicant processing. We together introduced several strategies to improve our candidate sourcing, engagement and operational improvements, The team consisted of 20 employees including managers, recruiters, sourcers and coordinators to support recruiting for enterprise recruiting efforts.

As Sprint and Nextel Communications merged I was presented the opportunity to move to New England and lead the Retail stores division of more than 80 stores. This move provided me the opportunity to help drive merger and integration activities, specifically bringing two great cultures of employees together with a continued focus on delivering consistent results in sales and customer service.

I was hired by Nextel communications to lead the recruiting function for the newly developed retail stores division. The team and I successfully staffed 900+ retail stores as they opened nationwide. I was provided increased responsibility to also lead the recruiting efforts across all Nextel's customer care and retention call centers nationally. The team delivered innovative sourcing, engagement and assessment strategies that led to several awards and recognition across the Nextel community.

This is where I got my start in recruiting, managing the client search process with an emphasis on senior sales management positions in the training, consulting, education and learning technology industries. I was very fortune to have a mentor who taught me all the agency recruitment fundamentals with an emphasis on client relationships, speed to hire, call planing, candidate experience and to always be closing!
