My personal and professional interests have been consistent since college. I have an unyielding interest in Auditory Processing Disorders (APD/CAPD) and its impact on cognitive/linguistic development from infancy through adulthood. I believe that there are congenital as well as acquired APD's and that they may be responsible for many of the learning diabilities found in the general student population currently served by the school systems. In addition, I also believe that not enough is being done to serve the students with these most subtle of learning differences and that it matters the MOST that these students' be comprehesively identified and served.Specialties: Raising our daughter (age 15) and son (age 10) has been an education in itself. Theories tried and confirmed; tried and revised; and tried and deleted have made us open to new ideas and opportunities.
