Ltd., Pune; Milton Plastics, Mumbai; Cello Thermo ware, Mumbai in India.• Involved in the conceptualization, planning and implementing of the Company’s start-up project with P&L responsibility.• Managed the financial crisis when the institutional funding was inordinately delayed on account of sudden credit squeeze in the bank by effecting cost cutting measures and emergency financial gearing to sustain operations.• Inducted a professional team comprising of contemporary functional specialists in the areas of Production, Marketing, Finance and HR.

It manufactured consumer durable ceramic tableware. • As Managing Director of this public limited company conceptualized and implemented the project with multilateral institutional funding.• Managed the total project activity starting from site selection to construction of the factory, erection and commissioning of the plant and machinery. The project involved a firing technology (tunnel kiln) from Germany and manufacturing technology from Japan. Implemented the project in 18 months from the date of site selection till start of commercial production.• Had full P&L responsibility with accountability to the Board of Directors. • Recruited senior professional team comprising of functional specialists in all major functions impacting the bottom-line. Introduced and rigorously implemented budgetary control systems and practices. Indian Airlines (now Air India) is India's national airline.• Joined the Airline as a Management Trainee and progressed to middle management level. • Was absorbed in the then personnel (now HR) department and obtained grass-root experience in all aspects of HR. Was responsible for recruitment to officer cadres, manpower planning, all HR activities pertaining the flying crew..• Was subsequently inducted into the Managing Director’s Secretariat as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of the Airline.• Later, transferred to Administration with independent charge of the division then known as Co-ordination Cell. This division was solely responsible for overseeing accountability of the Airline to Government and Parliament.
