Appointed as a Clinic Transport Officer with Ambulance Victoria in May 2022, Craig has completed nationally accredited training as a Patient Transport Officer and is currently studying the Diploma of Emergency Health Care with St John Ambulance Australia RTO. He has also completed training in emergency patient transport (i.e. driving Code1/Signal 1), in addition to serving with Ambulance Victoria as a COVID Surge Responder. He received a Letter of Commendation from Ambulance Victoria in relation to feedback from an emergency patient, whom Craig and a Paramedic attended, assessed, treated and transported to hospital in January 2022, and a certificate of congratulations from the Parliament of Victoria for service to the Victorian Community during the COVID-19 Pandemic.He holds tertiary qualifications in quality management and auditing (Diploma in Quality Auditing, Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare RTO), business leadership (RMIT University), human services administration (Monash University), and social welfare work (Chisholm Institute of Technology, now Monash University).He has more than 45 years of service delivery (youth development, foster care), management (youth services, health, out-of-home care, community legal services, and a philanthropic trust) policy development, and governance experience in a wide variety of roles in the Victorian State and Local Government sectors and the Health and Community Services industry. Craig is also a philanthropist, having co-founded the Trust For Young Australians (www.tya.org.au) and has been the Trust's Secretary for about 30 years.He has been a very active public safety volunteer (First Responder) with St John Ambulance Australia (Victoria), holding Divisional Officer and Divisional Manager warrants of appointment, and and as a Patrol Lifeguard with Life Saving Victoria (Williamstown S&LSC). Craig has also been an active adult member of Scouts Victoria, having held Assistant Scout Leader, Venturer Leader, Field Commissioner and Branch Activity Leader warrants of appointment in the past.In terms of creative expression, Craig is an experienced choral singer (Bass-Baritone) and music theatre performer. He has performed at venues around the World; from Williamstown Town Hall, Footscray Community Arts Centre, to Melbourne Town Hall, Sydney Myer Music Bowl, and the Palais Theatre, St Kilda, to the Sydney Opera House, the Old South Church in Boston, Massachusetts and Carnegie Hall, New York City, New York, U.S.A.
