Resulted in 120% month-over-month ridership increase (2023 vs 2024), and earned Detroit People Mover #1 APTA Top Transit Agency by Ridership Increase for 2024.Completed customer experience upgrades including real-time arrival screens, interactive kiosks, upgraded PA systems, column accent lighting, Net Promoter Score surveys, and brand refresh/station wayfinding.Implemented agency culture initiatives including Personality Dimensions, Employee Engagement Surveys, Townhalls, and innovative HR including team building activities like scavenger hunts and Blink internal message boards.

The Deputy General Manager functions as the Chief Operating Officer at SMART, providing oversight of all SMART's directors and support to all departments across both administration and operations. Reporting to the General Manager and serving the Board of Directors, the DGM balances visibility in the development and implementation of regional relationships and initiatives with hands-on internal process improvement and problem solving through collaboration and cooperation. The DGM leads our team of directors in ensuring compliance with myriad Federal, State and local rules and regulations.Served as acting General Manager between March 2020 and September 2021, leading the agency through the heart of the COVID pandemic while keeping staff safe and service accessible for essential workers.In addition, the DGM leads several units including Information Technology (IT), Procurement, EEO, DBE, External Drug & Alcohol Compliance, and also community outreach and community programs via SMART's Community Ombudspersons. The DGM also serves as the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer and the US DOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Compliance Officer.

Key responsibilities include: EEO/DBE Compliance, Drug & Alcohol External Testing Compliance by Community Partnership Programs (CPPs), Administration of Purchase of Service and Specialized Service Programs, Community Outreach programs through the Ombudsmen, Capital and Grant Program Management, SMART Board of Directors Meeting Coordination, and SMART liaison to the Regional Transit Authority (RTA).

Responsible for planning and management of $40 Million annually in capital funding through a variety of sources, including Federal and State grants. Key agency liaison with Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), Congressional delegation, FTA, MDOT, and SEMCOG. Project lead for multi-department and multi-agency grant applications. Maintains vehicle databases and Rolling Stock Status Reports for fleet of over 600 transit revenue vehicles.

As an Associate Partner, participated directly in business development, client management, go/no-go decisions and proposal creation/interviews, strategic business planning and leadership development. Led coordination, improvement and development of all presentations, proposals, website, maps and graphics, including adding capabilities in LEED, sustainability, 3-d modeling, and advanced GIS analysis. Provided expert assistance with project management, document development, urban design, graphic design, zoning ordinance updates, and data collection.Focused on transportation planning, innovative planning projects and 3-D modeling/GIS mapping. Worked on a variety of corridor plans and community master plans. Provided on-going planning and zoning assistance, including GIS mapping services, to multiple communities in Michigan.

Worked as a Transportation Planner in the Department of Transportation's Statewide Urban Travel Analysis Section, preparing transportation plans, models, and socio-economic forcasts for traffic in the State of Michigan.
