After helping the Denton Floyd owners finance the acquisition and stabilization of 2000 apartment units in KY and IN between 2012-22, I joined the DF team full-time to raise Equity for ground-up Class A multifamily projects across six states. We begin construction on 4-6 new projects per year; each has a total budget of ~$70 million and requires $20+ million of Equity capital that my team raises from family offices, high-net worth individuals, and professionally-managed real estate funds.

I founded the Sequel Fund in 2014 with the Paul Ogle Foundation and Access Ventures. This was an early-stage seed fund that invested in young companies in the regions of Kentucky and Indiana. The fund made five investments -- two were sold to strategic buyers, one has wound-down operations, and two are active and growing. The investment committee was a volunteer group of amazingly talented entrepreneurs who dedicated countless hours to the fund and its portfolio companies.

I joined SentryHealth as COO in Sept 2014 and retained Venture First as our fractional CFO and Accounting team during my tenure. While in this role, I led the company's efforts to raise $8m in angel investments and $3m in bank financing.In 2019, the company ceased providing clinical services to employers and instead focused solely on providing its proprietary technology platform. I remain a shareholder and supporter of the company.

After serving as advisor to the CEO for 18 months, I joined this fast-growing, innovative medical practice as Chief Development Officer. MD2U utilizes a team of Nurse Practitioners and Care Coordinators to provide Primary Care for home-bound and home-limited seniors. Patient and revenue growth increased nearly 5X during my 3+ years with the company, and financing was successfully secured from both a Mezz Investor and an SBA lender for continued growth.

Enterprise Angels, which I co-founded in April 2008, was once Louisville's largest private Angel Investor group. It's 50+ members met monthly to see two presentations from emerging companies that need growth capital. The group formed a sidecar fund--Enterprise Angels Fund--administered in late 2014.

Led a team offering professional services to 200 emerging technology companies and 50 private equity investors. Defined strategies and tactics to grow both the organization and our portfolio companies. Secured contracts and partnerships with organizations in the public and private sector. Raised over $120 Million for over 100 clients.

Reported to the CEO of Greater Louisville Inc. to implement the merger of the Louisville Chamber & the Economic Development Partnership. Managed all Membership and Back Office operations. Formed and implemented a new strategy for the unprofitable Membership Group that resulted in a six-figure profit after consecutive six-figure losses.

Recruited by the Dean to join the Business School as an Entrepreneur in Residence. Responsibilities included teaching the culminating course in the Entrepreneurship minor, mentoring business plan teams, and assisting university-related startups. Won 1st-place with Concept team at IdeaStateU in Apr 2012 and Runner-up at Yum''s Global Sustainability Competition in Nov 2012.
