LLN has supported local adult learning programs for more than 20 years. Our programs offer many ways for adults in Niagara to learn, upgrade skills and achieve greater wellbeing. They’re free and accessible to those with goals to further their education, elevate their employment, or gain independence.Through regular input from program managers, educators and service providers, I’m working to build capacity and enhance coordination within our network. As we work together, we’re holding the vision that everyone will be able to develop the skills they need to prosper in our community.

Workforce Collective is a think and do tank that develops solutions to workforce challenges. We provide services like research and data analysis, project evaluation and impact assessment to inform better planning and decision-making.We also provide administrative, marketing/communications, project management and event planning support in various ways to Literacy Link Niagara, the Niagara Industrial Association, Niagara’s Immigrant Employment Council, Niagara’s Workforce Coalition, and the Niagara Workforce Planning Board.

I’ve facilitated learning and capacity-building activities within more than 22 organizations and leadership teams. My areas of focus include: business model development (social entrepreneurship), change leadership, human-centered design (design thinking), strategic planning and systems thinking.This work evolved from my experiences as a founder in a social enterprise, called The Soul Workshop (2014-16). TSW facilitated creative expression, yoga and mindfulness practices, especially for women and youth in racialized communities.

I’ve had the honour of designing and delivering courses in the following topic areas for learners from diverse programs of study, cultural backgrounds and life stages: Business Management & Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship, Event Management, Experiential Learning, Marketing, Self-Leadership, and Sociology (Diversity & Inclusion).

I rallied the people and activities that make up NC’s entrepreneurship ecosystem— innovative students, startup businesses, faculty and programming (including academic course development and co-curricular workshops), industry leaders, entrepreneur networks, alumni mentors, pitch competitions and startup weekends, and business development resource centers in the Niagara community and beyond.I started as ncTakeOff Project Manager and, in 2017, returned from a 10-month parental leave as Manager, Creativity & Integration.

Leadership Niagara provides opportunities for participants, partners and volunteers to apply and strengthen their leadership. As Program Coordinator, I supported the program facilitation team, developed community project and managed related special events and marketing activities.

Student Services

I coordinated community leadership and service learning opportunities; co-founded and managed the Student Leadership Innovation Commons; designed and facilitated leadership development programs; and supported an organizational culture of shared leadership, belonging and wellbeing.

International Market Development

I developed and executed strategic student recruitment activities; traveled around the USA/Ontario and oversaw virtual marketing in China and India.
