As an Application Support Analyst my key responsibilities and roles were:• Installation of the in house developed facility management package, involving SQL servers, Access databases, and liaison with the client;• Training of External Clients on the use of the in house developed facility management package, this includes Estate Managers at clients such as County Durham and Darlington PCT (CDDPCT), Staffordshire Police, and the London School of Business and Economics;• 1st and 2nd Line helpdesk support for all existing and new customers covering all in house developed software, this is by email, telephone and face to face interaction with internal and external contacts;• Management support of large projects reporting directly to the Technical Director, notably the implementation and maintenance of NHS Scotland’s National Property Database, accessible via the internet;• Maintenance of an online Citrix Presentation Server, including the creation and maintenance of the Active Users Directory;• Installation and maintenance of IIS dependant websites and FTP clients;• Creation, population and maintenance of SQL Databases, in both SQL 2000 and 2005, and Microsoft Access Databases in 2000, 2003 and 2007, including basic query design;• Mapping of Floor Plans using AutoCAD 2005 using polylining, this allows customer reporting to be made on GIAs, GEAs, Rooms, Fire Zones, Departmental usage, etc…• Secure delivery of clients data by both electronic and physical means;• Migration of client data as required from obsolescent database types to modern and manageable formats, most notable being County Durham and Darlington PCT (CDDPCT), and NHS Scotland’s National Property Database, both involving data migration from a large number of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets into Microsoft SQL 2005 Databases.
