I work in the RWE & outcomes research department as an operations manager in post-marketing studies. My key responsabilities include:- CRO and vendors oversight- Clinical study oversight and management from sponsor‘s perspective (review all study documents, contact with investigators and market companies involved, regular meetings with the CROs)- TMF management - IIS management and follow up (drafting contract and communicating with the institutions, follow up of IIS progression, invoices and any issues that may arise)- Interaction with market companies for study planning, tracking and devising action plans when needed (being the person of reference in the study to all affiliates participating in it). - Close interaction with the RWE team when designing new protocols, questionnaires, or new approaches for our future RWE studies.

During my time working in H2H we fundraised for Australian Red Cross, Berry Street and Amnesty International.I did this job to improve my sales techniques. Fundraising you learn how to get people to stop on the street to talk to you (any type of person, although we worked with a specific target), how to create connections with that individual in order to establish trust, how to sell the product, how to position yourself, what to say and what body language to use in order to close the sale, and how to dismiss your customer to ensure their retention once they’ve signed. The other 2 skills that you have to develop as a fundraiser are emotional intelligence and teamwork. As Team Leader I was responsible for organizing team building and training activities for my team (we did one or the other 15 minutes every morning before work, plus a full morning once a week). I also had to ensure that weekly team goals were met (and respond to my supervisors if they were not), so keeping my team motivated and helping them deal with the rejection inherent in these job, was a central part of my role as a TL.

Worked in a research project developing a functional sourdough bread based on the production of exopolysacharides (EPSs) from selected bacterial strands. I was given the responsibility of designing the experiments and carrying them on, with the supervision of my tutor. I was also responsible for the samples management and the interpretation of the results in order to determine weather the product was ready to send to clinical trials or not. I also worked as a microbiology lab assistant testing for a product's microbial stability and total shelf-life. Together with my colleague we had to organise and carry on the microbiological tests for as many products as we could fit in that week, taking into account the time needed for each test and each specific product, the dates that we would not be in the lab, and the time we had to allocate for our personal projects. We were responsible of our own planning and our tutor would only validate it at the beginning of each week.
