I developed high-traffic machine learning infrastructure with Terraform, AWS, and Sagemaker, handling 250k+ requests/min. Additionally, I created a utility to index multipolygons into H3 hexagonal grids, enabling data scientists to join third-party data sources. I also automated the process to retrieve USDA satellite imagery and load raster data into PostgreSQL, supporting sustainability initiatives.

In my role as a Data Engineer at Team Rubicon, I mentored junior analysts on Power BI and SQL, doubled data engineering capacity, and reduced ad-hoc analysis requests by 50%. I combined data sources to quantify volunteer dollar-impact across disaster operations and designed an ArcGIS dashboard to identify areas in need of relief, securing significant donations and grants.

I developed a new competition format which began as a way to crowd source solutions for non-profit organizations with social good missions. I worked on a feature that shows a map of every run a user has ever logged. My role was establishing the cloud-process with Amazon Web Services (EC2, Lambda, S3). I packaged the processing binaries and coordinated file transfers across multiple APIs with the end result of returning visualizations to users of the platform.

I primarily analyzed water quality and administered chemical treatments. This included analyzing water treatment data to generate reports for evaluation when renewing permits with the Washington Dept. of Ecology. I also assisted in fabrication of a field-test pilot system for cost-benefit analyses/contract bidding which resulted in multiple new contracts for the company.

Developed a tool to perform statistical independence tests on post-processed DNA sequencing data. The tool I created used Python plotting libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn) to highlight statistically significant results and generate publication-ready visualizations.

Developed a safety program for the USAF’s first MQ-9 drone maintenance unit. Trained 50+ airmen on maintenance and safety protocols leading to 100% pass rate on quality inspections with zero on-duty injuries. Received Distinguished Graduate award for completing Air Force technical training with 97% overall accuracy.
