Doug Crawford has been a management consultant for over 20 years, following a successful career as a line manager with both Unilever and Rank Xerox. Prior to founding Cerus Consulting he was a Director of a global specialist HR consultancy (The Hay Group) where he was responsible for retail sector leadership as well as managing the relationships with a number of major national and international client accounts. Doug has worked with numerous national and multi-national organisations in the UK, US, Europe, Asia and Africa and has extensive experience of working with public, private and not for profit organizations. He has a BSc in Electronics from Cardiff University, an MBA from Durham Business School and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the RSA. Doug is an active member of the Engaging for Success movement who are working with the UK government and industry to raise the levels of employee engagement and productivity within ‘UK plc’. He is a member of the leadership, performance management and neuroscience sub groups and the Not for Profit group which is looking at the specific engagement challenges in not for profit organizations. His consulting expertise embraces employee engagement, performance management, reward and recognition, work measurement – including job evaluation and job families, talent management and competency development, organizational design and leadership development. Doug has also developed a range of research based, web enabled diagnostics to help organizations measure employee engagement & organizational health and provide competency based 360º assessment and has pioneered the Resourceful Conversations™ approach to performance management and the Emotional Engagement approach to building more engaging management practices.
