SPORTSBOOK OPERATIONS MANAGER | WILLIAM HILL US/CESAERS | JUNE 2020-CURRENT· Opened the first Retail Sportsbook in Washington DC & first Retail Sportsbook connected to a professional sports arena· Manage day-to-day operations of the property (risk prevention, audit reports, scheduling, maintain cash vault, inventory/supplies ordering, etc.). · Responsible for ensuring there are no discrepancies in audits of the sports book. · Identifies risk, fraud, and anti-money laundering behavior from customers that violate William Hill’s sports wagering policies and work with Compliance team to mitigate risk. · Ensure patrons of the sportsbook adhere to the guidelines established by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for customers exceeding the transactional threshold. · Thoroughly investigates the misconduct of customers that are not compliant and performs suspicious activity reports (SARs) on customers that are potential risk to the company. · Assists customer support with escalated issues and discrepancies related to risk and players accounts. · Facilitates meetings with leadership to develop strategic initiatives that will enhance the operation of the sports book. · Assists with improving internal policies and procedures related to risk, fraud and anti-money laundering. · Provides conflict resolution to maximize customers’ experience. Drive and motivate the staff to deliver high-level customer service to all customers. · Ensures the sports book staff is operating in a manner that follows the company and the DC Office of Lottery and Gaming rules and regulations.
