I am the Communications Director at the Vermont Arts Council. Previously, I was Communications Manager at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS). A former management and leadership consultant with the Gallup Organization, I consulted for Fortune 500 companies in the United States and Singapore. I have taught journalism and English at the middle school, high school, and college-level. I began my career as a newspaper reporter at the Star-News in Pasadena, California, and covered the White House and Congress for trade publications in Washington, D.C. during the Clinton Administration.I have a PhD in Communication (Science concentration) and a M.Ed. in Secondary Education (English concentration).
