Responsible for five operating plants as well as the fuel procurement, environmental,engineering and construction departments.• Led the technical team renegotiating the first settlement with the EPA associatedwith their New Source Review initiative.• Reduced overall Energy Supply personnel by 10% achieving savings ofapproximately $1 million per year.

Responsible for the engineering, construction, and commissioning of the Polk Power Station,a 250MW integrated gasification combined-cycle facility.• Led negotiations with the U.S. Department of Energy securing $150 million offunding for the project.• Completed project on schedule and under budget.• Facility has generated more electricity from clean coal technology than any plant inthe world.• Named the cleanest coal-fired power plant in North America in 2005 by “EnergyProbe,” a Canadian research foundation.
