Having spent hours upon hours at our favorite bar & restaurant, Solstice Restaurant in Kingston, MA, planning out the songs we’d play and identifying potential band mates, it was only fitting that our first gig be at Solstice’s Annual Summer Party & Fundraiser. We just had to convince owners John & Hollie Cataldi that firing the band they had already hired, and replacing them with Despite Dwight would be a good idea.Ultimately John & Hollie took that major leap, sight unseen, band unheard - it really could have been a disaster - instead it marked the beginning of a long term love affair. The quintessential summer kick-off with the perfect combination of incredible food, indelible memories, inseparable friendships, incomparable musical feats… all in the spirit of celebration and philanthropy benefiting numerous worthy charitable organization across the South Shore.

Working with this community youth center since 2010, we've grown from a $30K 501c3 struggling to keep its doors open, to a $200K+ operation serving youth of Duxbury, MA, through after school programs paid for by its participants and mission programs filling critical community needs via our fundraising initiatives. Using technology skills to create, manage and develop online presence at duxburystudentunion.com, creative email marketing, imaginative event creation and planning, nurturing community partnerships.

With my Wellesley College English degree in hand, I hit the ground running at a Cambridge, MA tech start-up back in 1992. In a start-up company everyone plays an all encompassing role. I dabbled in finance, operations, business infrastructure, marketing, communications, sales, event planning – you name it – quickly rising in the ranks and realizing my gift for implementing best practices across the organization.While designing a company-wide information system, I found my niche translating my vision as an end user into technical specifications. I was not only interested in specifying needs, I loved implementing them, learning the technical intricacies of programs, training end users, and evaluating the financial return on improved systems and workflow.
