The purpose of my role as a volunteer Access and Participation Student Advisory Board Member is to give valuable contribution to the Office for Students (OfS) vision to eliminate inequality to access higher education. This also includes The Access and Participation Funding (OfS regulated) encourages those that are least likely to participate in higher education to do so and improve those students’ opportunities at university.The funding supports students in the areas of access, progression, and success andworks to improve outcome and opportunities for our students.Some of the key Main Duties: Support the development of our Access and Participation (APP) work bybuilding a stronger student voice.  Provide strategic steer to the university on the delivery of our APP in helping to improve opportunities and outcomes for our students in the areas ofaccess, progression, and success.  Participate in submitting our Student Submission to the Office for Students aspart of our new Access and Participation Plan. Support us in creating our new Access and Participation Plan. Support us in creating our Access and Participation Plan summary. To support with the yearly variations and amendments in accordance with OfSrequirements (step-by-step support will be given). Sharing ideas on the likely risks to equality of opportunity in accessing highereducation for students.sessions. Sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise in helping us to develop high-quality support and services for our students. Sharing new ideas for activities and approaches to support students fromunderrepresented groups. Collaborative work in designing, delivering, and monitoring the Access andParticipation work across the university. Participating in a range of meetings, events, focus groups, and forums inorder to consult and engage with students on our Access and Participationwork. To support APP with engaging with students. Participate in the evaluation of the scheme.

Worked with Recruitment Agencies including Capita Education, Hays Education, Protocol Education in various placement in London on day to day, short term and long term supply work from April 2011. Harington Scheme Learning Support Assistant Capita Education1 day placement day to day work working with young person with global delay, making sure he is safe and enjoying this day, supervised him making sure he is safe and is kept busy in supporting him in various activities.
