Margaret has worked in business technology since 1991, first as a marketing executive and strategic leader, and later as an independent website developer and teacher. Starting her career as part of a small executive team who charged through massive growth - from 18-34MM during her tenure - and then completely reworking her career from the ground up as web developer to enable the many technology startups that consulted with her, she has amassed extensive experience managing most facets of technology businesses.Margaret has a passion for understanding process and helping companies leverage technology to meet their business goals. In 2012, she decided to rework her career a third time to take her passion for website development along with her understanding of organizational processes and marketing needs to start a technical training business focused on open source web development. Her Tyto team of Drupal and OS thought leaders have fun and work hard providing technical writing, online and in-person instruction, and developing web-based solutions for a wide variety of clients across the country. Margaret, herself, has built hundreds of websites, created internationally utilized curricula, and taught beginning and advanced users diverse topics ranging from basic computer use to Drupal configuration and PHP module development.In her fourth incarnation, Tyto's successes have allowed Margaret to pursue her passion for engaging young people (especially girls) in technology. So in addition to running Tyto, she can be found creating and delivering a middle school coding and computer science program at Columbus Academy.When she’s not creating websites or teaching others, Margaret enjoys the outdoors on her 2011 HD Heritage Softail.
