Communications Director for the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, the union representing the Pittsburgh Public School Teachers, Paraprofessional, Pittsburgh/Mount Oliver Unit#2 and Technical and Clerical Staff. My duties are myriad and fast paced; inclusive of two weekly Action-Network distributed communications products for membership that encapsulate the depth and breadth of the educational and legislative landscape affecting Union members. Mass texting through Revolution media, individualized texting via HUSTLE, social media distributions, and communications that promote events (Labor Day, AFT National Convention, Back to School, PFT member events,), press releases and speechwriting support, political advocacy, event and workshop promotion for membership, and media liason for the Union President.I work Monday through Thursday, some evenings, some weekends, and am in the company of passionate, deeply intelligenty, cause-driven individuals whose dedication and desire is infectious. We work for TEACHERS, after all... I still run PUNCH Creative on a limited and definitely NON-competitive basis--now a true weekend warrior who starts Punching on Fridays.
