Samuel is a software engineer, author, trainer, entrepreneur, and an experienced executive with over 25 years of professional experience. Passionate about technology, process, and people development, Samuel himself has led the organizational transformation of several companies, ranging from fast-growing startups to large and globally distributed enterprises. Samuel has been helping to establish new management and engineering standards for companies from different industries, extending from software, energy, mining, and banking, to tourism, security, and manufacturing. He is one of the founding leaders of the Brazilian and Latin American Agile communities. Samuel has co-founded and served as chairman of international conferences such as the Ágiles Conference, the Agile Brazil conference, and the Lean IT Summit Brazil.Samuel has served as a member of the board of directors of the Agile Alliance, where between 2010 and 2015 he helped to expand the organization internationally, co-founding and serving as Executive Director for the Agile Alliance Brazil, the first arm of the organization outside the USA. Samuel is the author of the Lean Pyramid, a transformation framework that encompasses a deep set of lean principles and tools to facilitate transformation processes, optimizing every aspect from strategic planning, to operations and software engineering. In 2015 he founded Lean it 101. A company that develops technologies and methodologies to accelerate business transformation by combining lean, agile, and digital transformation to maximize the delivery of sustainable value. Before that, he has founded and served as the CEO of a software company where during about a decade he delivered hundreds of projects using pure lean and agile methodologies. Before that, Samuel has held several positions as a software developer, tech leader, and product manager in national and international companies.Currently, Samuel serves as the CEO for Lean it 101 and he is the main mentor behind the transformation of its major clients.
