I have been helping businesses and individuals meet their legal challenges for over 30 years. Today, currently working out of both the Orlando and Fort Lauderdale offices of Gray Robinson’s 14 statewide Florida offices, my transactional and litigation practice “footprint” seamlessly covers the State of Florida. In the last decade, I have assisted clients close over $100M in commercial closings, representing buyers and sellers in contract negotiations, due diligence, and the related title review and policy issuance for closings. As to litigation, the backbone of my litigation practice is Plaintiff’s Commercial Mortgage Foreclosure work. I represent asset and loan portfolio managers, private lenders, and investors in plaintiff’s commercial foreclosure cases – currently litigating across the State of Florida. Providing this representation even before the pandemic – Zoom hearings now fully expand my reach statewide. I also have experience prosecuting or defending claims based on breach of contracts, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, partition actions, plus business focused cases involving trade secret violations, and breach of non-competes.Finally, commitment to community has always been important to me. I have been blessed with the opportunity to “give back” often, receiving appointments and opportunities to serve over many years. Opportunities to serve have included: *Board Member and Interim CEO/President, Light of the World Clinic (2012-2014, 2019; Board Member since 1999, Legal Counsel 1998, Board Chairman 2002); *Commissioner of the Broward County Charter Review Commission (2015-2018); *Co-Chaired, along Arthur and Belinda Keiser (of Keiser University) and Nancy Reyes, the “11th Annual for the Public Good Event (Legal Aid of Broward County)”, September 28, 2012; *Board Member, Broward Partnership for the Homeless (2006-2012); *Board Member and Gold Coast Region Chairman, Leadership Florida (2003-2008); *Commissioner, Chairman and Vice Chairman, South Broward Hospital District a/k/a/ Memorial Healthcare System (1999-2007); *Member, Florida Bar Citizen's Forum (Attorney Representative, 1998-2000); *Board of Director, Broward County' Charter School of Excellence (1998-1999); *Member, Community Health Purchasing Alliance for Broward County (CHPA), appointed by House of Representatives, (1996-1998); *Latin Chamber of Commerce of Broward County, Inc. (President 1995-1996, Vice President 1998, General Counsel 1988-1998, Lifetime Board Member, 1999).
