I help students learn Federal Tax II, an online tax course for post-baccalaureate students. It analyzes federal income tax law and its application to corporations, shareholders, partnerships, partners, estates, and gift transactions.

Examine tax returns while conducting audits to determine taxpayer compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. Interviewed taxpayers and gathered facts about the taxpayer’s personal or business operations. Perform research of the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, Revenue Rulings, Revenue Procedures, and Internal Revenue Manual. Prepare administrative files including letters, revenue agent reports, information document requests, and other documents necessary to explain and support the Internal Revenue Service position on a taxpayer’s non-compliance or compliance with the Internal Revenue Code. Negotiate with taxpayers and/or their representative to resolve substantive, procedural, and other issues arising from the examination.

Gained valuable experience in client interviewing and counseling, document drafting, business planning, and the in and outs of a business practice at several firms as an associate or law clerk. Collaborated with firm partners and associates to provide legal representation for firm clients with various matters at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel and Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen & Carpenter. Teamed up with firm partners to provide taxation, estate planning, and business planning for firm clientele at Holbrook, Peterson & Smith. Assisted with advising non-profit corporations, including religious organizations, on how to set up their organizational structures, including corporate charter, creating bylaws, state registration, 501(c)(3) compliance, grant writing, and general non-profit business and financial management at DA Carter & Associates.

Agent appointed as a life and health producer for Armed Forces Benefit Assoc. and First National Life Ins. Co. Prospected and added over 100 term and universal life policyholders existing book of business. Consistently achieved sales objectives. Trained agents and earned overrides for new agent sales.

Promoted to assistant agency manager; screened, hired, and trained new agents. Prospected and added over 175 term and universal life policyholders to account base.

Agent appointed as a life and health producer for Military Benefit Assoc. and TransWorld Assurance Co. Prospected and acquired account base of over 250 term and universal life policyholders. Performed in-house presentations of company products to prospective clients.
