Working as administrator of the development and production VMware environments at SECU. Currently working on implementing vBlock architecture as a reference design in the VMware environment for development systems. Currently upgrading VMware software, implementing new storage layouts, and utilizing configuration changes to increase the enviornments ability to scale. As part of the vBlock rollout, implementing VMware vCloud 5.1.

Serving as system administrator on VMware and Windows OS team. Responsible for new system builds, Windows system administration, and issue troubleshooting on current systems in Freudenberg IT's SAP Hosting and IT Outsourcing environments. Perform VMware administration on a vSphere 4 and 5 environment with 100+ ESXi host servers and 1000+ VMs. Includes vCenter Server installation, new host builds, host configuration, cluster configuration, PowerCLI scripting and guest VM builds and administration. Responsible for daily operation tasks of both the Windows OS and VMware Environments.Implemented Windows Remote Desktop Services Remote Apps for customer SAP GUI access through Remote Desktop Web Access.Working on Cisco UCS and HP BladeCenter Evaluations in conjunction with Arista and Cisco switch failover testing.

- Serving as primary IT systems admin (Linux and Windows servers). Currently administer the following: NetApp storage appliance, VMware Infrastructure, LAN/WAN/VPN, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server 2005, Microsoft IIS, ShoreTel phone system, ESET antivirus system, Nagios and Groundwork network monitoring. Provide desktop support for end users (XP, Vista, Windows7). - Responsibilities include: ordering hardware/software, server administration, virtual infrastructure administration, performing regular backups of servers, patch maintenance, upgrade planning, managing firewall policies, setting up new user accounts on Active Directory and phone system, monitoring the anti-virus system, building desktop images for employees' computers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues on employees' Windows desktops and laptops. - Major Accomplishments: Planned, coordinated, and executed tasks to relocate IT infrastructure as part of a building move while maintaining service levels. Implemented first virtual environment utilizing VMware Infrastructure 3, Sun servers, and NetApp Storage. This environment currently supports software & hardware that make 1,000,000+ outbound calls per month. Implemented Kayako Esupport ticket system for IT team. Implemented first network monitoring utility (Nagios, Groundwork open source).

Worked for DACOM as a contract employee at Ateb, Inc. Helped build PC appliances to fill large customer order. Responsible for PC assembly, disk imaging, Linux operating system configuration, appliance testing, and scanning appliances for shipment.

- Served as a Systems Analyst on client site at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Responsible for Oracle Database and Application Server, TRIM Context Document Management System, Windows Server, Microsoft Access and Oracle Development, and System Documentation. - Developed Workplace Safety Information System for workers compensation injury reporting and claim filing at MCB Camp Lejeune. - Installed and configured two instances of TRIM Context: one for the Staff Judge Advocate at MARFORLANT in Norfolk, VA, and the other for the Office of the Comptroller at MCB Camp Lejeune.
