My contemporary glass mosaics meld the ancient art of mosaic with the complexity and textures of modern glass. Spending nearly 18 years in South America and around the world brings the vitality of the rainforest and the strength of exploring new cultures to my work. After living and traveling in contrasting cultures and countries, I weave my love of nature with what I have learned abroad. I think that this is what gives my work its vibrancy and uniqueness. Tropics and temperate zones each contribute their wealth of subjects and styles.Recipient of the 2012 Dominick Labino Memorial Award for Excellence in Glass form Ohio Designer Craftsmen, Recipient of Installation Commission for Columbus' Bicentennial CAP-UP project by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Selected for the "Best of 2012" by Ohio Designer Craftsmen and "Art Comes Alive 2012" by Art Design Consultants, Cincinnati, Ohio. Awarded for artistic merit at By Hand Cleveland (2007) and Chagrin Falls, Art by the Falls (2009) Festivals; chosen by Ohio Designer Craftsmen for the "Best of 2009" exhibit. As a member ot the Management Team, I am part of Jurying new work for the Gallery and administration. As an exhibiting artist, I display contemporary glass mosaic.

Mosaic Instructor

Development of coaching principles and experiences for classroom instructors. Coaching of classroom instructors for High School health education curriculum with a focus on promoting an interactive, participatory educational experience.

Training and Leadership developmentDeveloped and supervised a network of teacher training groups and a Teaching Team of Brazilian men and women; development of a four year study curriculum (written in Portuguese). Seminar and retreat speaker on the family, relationships, spiritual growth. Development of a 5-day intensive training for pastors and community leaders in principles of Dialogue Education and training module development (in Portuguese, in conjunction with a small team of Brazilian and ex-pat leaders)Member of Training Team to develop WT training materials for international, cross-cultural workers; seminar instructor. Member of Field Evaluation teams to Cameroon, W. Africa and Philippines. Retreat and seminar speaker

Beginning in ICU / Trauma, moving clinic work in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest and finally to south Brazil in Rio Grande do Sul. After 29 years in health and education, I returned to a love of art and began working with glass mosaic.

Development and teaching of Nursing care procedures, protocol and pharmacy policy. Complete revision of Medical and Pharmacy documentation. 24hr on-call consultant to and supervision of non-professional home care staff. Leadership and mentoring to a team of teaching assistants participating with me in presentation of a Parenting Class, Building A New Generation for Xenos Christian Fellowship.

Curriculum development and health care training of non-professional rural workers: tooth extraction, vaccination, suturing, dehydration management, etc. Training of national team to work in rural settings in Northern Brazilian Amazon region among indigenous and non-indigenous populations. Management of clinics in villages of the Sataré Maué tribe.

Language and culture study, extensive travel in Amazon interior. Training of personnel and management of vaccination clinics in rural settings. Development and teaching of coursework related to ethics, parenting and conflict resolution. Assisting husband in pastoral care and leadership of small, semi-rural church.

Development and teaching of an 8 week parenting course, Building a New Generation. Development of curriculum and teacher training for children's program (approximately 250 children at that time) K-6th grade.

Development and teaching: Critical Care Pharmacology, EKG and ABG interpretation and related topics. Developed protocol for Cardiac Output computer and Arterial Monitoring systems. Revised Critical Care clinical records forms.
