After a decade of work with Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light, I have stepped back, and am in a period of discernment about the next step of my career. I have continued to work periodically with congregations as a workshop leader or presenter (each done remotely) for adult religious education groups interested in climate justice, congregational greening, or faith-rooted advocacy.My departure letter can be viewed at the attached link.

I work with an excellent Board (and now an Executive Director! ) to engage members of faith communities across PA to engage in faithful, active, and hopeful response to climate change as an urgent moral issue. We do community-specific and multi-faith education, service and energy efficiency, and non-partisan advocacy work, and would love to tell you more about what we and others are doing.

Expanded knowledge of Teach For America and its mission on the Penn State campus, with the goal of attracting high-quality applicants to the Teach For America corps. Local leader for strategic planning to major application deadlines.

Conducted in-depth individual interviews. Evaluated Teach For America applicants on a normed rubric based on their application essays and a cluster of interview day activities including sample teaching session, group discussion, writing sample, and problem-solving activities.

2001-2002Developed and wrote six published curriculum guides for middle school research units, with student work facilitated by a digital library and durable online research space. 1996-1998Graduate student research assistant, University of Michigan Digital LibraryRecruited, selected, and trained undergraduate Lab Monitors to assist in 6th grade classrooms engaging in on-line science research.Coordinated on-site data collection, including videotaping and interviewing.Planned and implemented professional development opportunities for teachers. Co-authored supporting manuals for on-line investigations in middle schools

Project manager: co-led a regional consortium formed to support, inspire, create, and enact best practices for using technology with K-12 students in ways that enhanced learning.Planned and executed day-long conferences for a cohort of 50-100 teachers.Worked with University faculty, K-12 superintendents, and intermediate unit administrators in bi-monthly progress meetings. Managed team of doctoral student area leaders.

Worked as a lab technician performing EPA-mandated soil and water testing.
