I am a partner at Ridder, Costa & Johnstone LLP, a small law firm based in San Francisco, CA. My practice focuses on litigation and counseling regarding intellectual property, new media, software, and Internet law. I have represented a diverse group of clients, from individuals to Fortune 500 companies, in transactional and litigation matters nationwide. I have written and spoken on a number of topics, including copyright licensing, Internet content regulation, fair use, user-generated content, and computer security.I graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2001, clerked for U.S. District Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer, and served as an associate attorney at Fish & Richardson, P.C. and Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP. I was a Residential Fellow, and am currently a non-residential Fellow, at Stanford Law School's Center for Internet & Society.
