Cris graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1999 and received a postgraduate fellowship examining legal issues and the role of money on state government in Austin, Texas. After seeing firsthand the distortive impact special interest money has on the Texas legal system and how laws are made, Cris grew to fully appreciate the jury system and the critical role twelve unbiased citizens have in righting wrongs, or setting the record straight, when one stands wrongly accused in a civil or criminal matter. It became abundantly clear to him that this fundamental right must be applied equally and fairly to all, from the most powerful, to the least privileged.Cris began learning his way around the courtroom with the former firm of Ivy, Crews and Elliott in 2002 . That same year Cris approached the three partners of the firm about pro bono work regarding illegal conduct in the 2002 Texas state elections. The firm graciously agreed to support his efforts. In turn, Cris learned how to litigate and try cases while working on some of the highest stakes litigation in Texas political history. After a trial or two, and the demise of Tom DeLay, Cris decided to further broaden and deepen his trial experience.In 2007 Cris began going into the courtroom with one of the top trial lawyers in the country - Rusty Hardin. Cris trained under Rusty for five years, and eventually became a partner. Under Rusty’s steady hand Cris learned the art of trial, and how to be effective and fearless while standing in the shoes of his clients before twelve people in the jury box.Following five years with Rusty Hardin & Associates, Cris decided the time was right to open The Feldman Firm, PC. With extensive knowledge and experience throughout the Courts of Harris County, Texas, Cris assists his clients in resolving their legal issues in a vigorous and ethical manner.
