About Cris Lafortune

I started coding about two years ago out of a desire to make some resources for my students. I fell in love with JavaScript and started doing every course and tutorial I could find.In January 2020 I began attending night classes with an online coding bootcamp to level up my skills. I learned React and Redux and created the user-facing side of web applications. I also created RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express. Finally, I learned about computer science, data structures and algorithms through Python. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to work with other students to create full-stack applications. These experiences taught me how to pair-program and deal with pesky merge conflicts.I love coding because I am constantly challenged to learn new things. The world is a scary place right now, but tech makes me excited about what the future holds. Tech skills:- HTML- CSS- JavaScript- React- Node- Python- SQL- Git
