Using IP from the DeWalt project, developed the successor product to the Cellemetry application, switching from analog message passing to an SMS-based facility. Responsible for the development of the primary message passing layer, porting the inter-process communication library from C++ to C#/.NET. Also developed an in-house SMSC (short message service center) as well as an HLR (Home Location Register) for managing cellular subscriptions and handling hundreds of thousands of SMS messages per day. Contract-based software development company started with a partner in January of 1998. Developed a number of Visual Basic/SQL Server applications for clients.

Developed a Java-based "screen-scraping" facility as part of a migration of a mainframe-based trouble-ticket scheduling system to a UNIX/Windows platform.

Developed a PERL-based query engine to allow users to query Sybase-formatted backup images without having to reload the data into the database.
