Unicon is a software consulting company focused primarily on the Education and online learning domain. Unicon has several customers including Cisco systems, publishers and universities.I have worked for Unicon in a variety of roles. I began as a Software developer, and have performed the functions of business analyst, project manager, software architect and technical development lead. I have worked on various Open Source projects including uPortal, Sakai and CAS. I have attended and presented at various conferences related to these Open Source projects.At Unicon, I have primarily used Java and Spring technologies. In the last few years I have become an Amazon AWS certified developer. I have used a variety of AWS technologies for different clients including EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, IAM, VPC.An additional job responsibility includes conducting quarterly and annual reviews for developers. Separate from conducting reviews, I also served as mentor to developers advising them on their careers and answering technical questions.Conducted uPortal and Sakai training programs for various clients. Created new training material, including slidedecks, exercises and software installation guides. Delivered training both as an individual trainer and as a co-trainer on different occasions.

Only there a short period of time. Always on the bench, never on any project. Helped host a Java User Group meeting, as well as help train other consultants on the bench in Java programming.

Began in the government group, specifically in a training program called CETP. When the training program was done, I moved over to a group helping out with Cellular technologies. This project was called SuperCell.
