As a CPA with over 20 years experience as an entrepreneur and in business development, Cris is an investor/financier at Manhattan Gulch, with a portfolio spanning natural resources, real estate, media and consumer products. Cris serves as the founder and CEO of El Rey, the television platform with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, where she raised $130M in debt and equity and oversaw the growth of the TV studio and streaming network to 120M homes. She is the founder and Executive Chairman of the board of Enroot, a non-alc company she co-founded with Brad Pitt and a community of award-winning James Beard chefs. Cris also co-founded sports wrestling league Lucha Underground with AAA Mexico, television producer Mark Burnett and MGM Studios.She is an Executive Producer of a slate of shows including Quentin Tarantino's From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series, Man At Arms with Danny Trejo and Director's Chair featuring Jon Favreau, Barbara Streisand, James Cameron and Guillermo del Toro.As the co-CEO of FactoryMade, Cris oversaw the incubation of businesses such as the Private Suites at LAX luxury airport terminal, the Vice Munchies delivery kits and Walmart’s Rediscovering America with Ayesha Curry. Cris previously served as the Worldwide Head / SVP of Strategic Planning & Business Development at global talent agency WME, where she aided the creation of Hasbro Studios, $300M secured in debt financing, and multi-billion-dollar film and television franchises such as Transformers with Michael Bay, GI Joe with Jon Chu and My Little Pony with Lauren Faust. Cris also served as the Director of Business Development at the Walt Disney Company, presiding over $550M in retail merchandise revenues for hit TV shows such as Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. Earlier in her career, Cris served as a Strategic Consultant at Deloitte for Fortune 500 and M&A clients in Wall Street. Cris holds an active CPA license in California, an MBA from UCLA, graduate certificates from Stanford and Tufts Universities, and a BSBA magna cum laude in Accounting & MIS from Boston University.
