The courses emphasize reading and understanding complex materials and responding to ideas and information through writing informative and/or persuasive texts. Objectives are as follows:• Demonstrate knowledge of rhetorical and compositional concepts in Critical Thinking and analysis.• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to read for multiple levels of understanding, to read critically, and to apply the steps of the reading process, including pre-reading, annotating and analysis, using readings and materials.• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to summarize course materials by applying the reading and writing processes, and utilizing discipline-specific readings and resources.• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use the writing process—including prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing— to write persuasively in multiple genres.• Demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to reflect on your reading and writing processes and to apply those strategies to cross-curricular reading and writing tasks.

I serve as an Editor-at-large for The Offing Magazine.

After publishing my two books of poetry, GENESIS (Lost Alphabet) and Ghostword (Gnashing Teeth publishing) I continue forward with a couple of projects. One is an anthology focusing on emerging indigenous queer, Two-Spirit poetry set to be published by Litmus Press in 2025. The second is wrapping up my third poetry collection called "is(ness)" which focuses on abstract momentary poems using imagery and narrative. Many of the poems from this collection have been published online or in print. I am looking to wrap these two large projects up for 2024. Then continue completing other writing projects.

Courses Taught: English Composition I (ENG121) & Composition Studio (CCR094)Developed curriculum for English Composition course along with a prerequisite studio course. The ENG121 course emphasized understanding the Rhetorical Situation and Appeals associated with genres. The CCR 094 course was a remedial English course designed to align with the ENG 121 course, where the work assigned in CCR 094 reflected the ENG 121 course. Discussion and major assignment assigned highlighting the composition in genres. Academic performance and proficiency were graded upon meeting the minimum requirements for the course.

Mission:It is the mission of the Two Spirit National Cultural Exchange, Inc. to work to preserve, record, document and educate people, groups and organizations on and of the Native American traditional Two Spirit cultural and identity. Goals:Our four specific focuses and relates to the traditional Two Spirit cultural and traditions. 1. Education: To educate by means of presentations, written, visual, auditory media and social gatherings of the Two Spirit tradition and culture as it relates to the Native American history. 2. Preservation: To preserve the oral traditions and adapt contemporary written traditions of the Two Spirit person’s culture.3. Two Spirit Youth: To assist, educate & use these multi-media items to demonstrate to the contemporary Two Spirited youth the validation of traditional heritage & to lessen the negative sociological impact and allow positive image to grow preserving the Two Spirit culture for the future.4. Social Networking: To gather and share the tradition and culture of the Two Spirit way of life (i.e. sharing food, drumming, family, responsibility and ceremony).
