Whether they are navigating the foster care system, experiencing homelessness, or in need of a small and supportive school environment, the schools provides the support and resources they need to succeed.As a key member of the team, I established key relationships with partners and organizations in the local community to support student success in the fields of STEM, healthcare, education, advocacy, media, and more. Through these partnerships, we were able to connect our students with mentors, internships, and other opportunities that help them gain valuable industry experience and build their networks.I am proud to have empowered and supported mentors, scholars, teachers, and stakeholders to achieve student success. As the Data and Compliance Manager at New Village Girls Academy, I managed the accuracy of student information data for our student population to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. I implemented a new reporting process that improved efficiency and maintained documentation of reporting processes and requirements. By tracking student demographic data for grant purposes, I secured over $1 million in grant funding for the school. Additionally, I assisted with writing various school reports including WASC, LCAP, and our LEA Oversight.

As the Southern California Coordinator for the California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance (CIYJA), I led efforts to place immigrant youth in advocacy and policy delegations to drive pro-immigrant policies beyond legalization. Through my work, I recruited and developed a strong network of activists and youth leaders who participated in press conferences, city council meetings, hearings, and other organizing events. Some of my key accomplishments include:- Mobilizing over 100 youth activists to participate in policy delegations and advocacy efforts- Securing media coverage for CIYJA's work in major news outlets, including the Los Angeles Times and Univision- Building partnerships with local organizations and community leaders to strengthen our advocacy efforts and expand our reachThrough my work at CIYJA, I honed my skills in community organizing, public speaking, and policy advocacy. I am passionate about empowering immigrant youth to become leaders in their communities and advocating for policies that address the root causes of immigration-related injustices.

As the Assistant to the Principal at Soledad Enrichment Charter High School, I managed office operations and responded to routine issues and emergencies. I provided training on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, resulting in a decrease in behavioral incidents and an improvement in academic outcomes for students. Additionally, I researched, compiled, and assembled a variety of materials, including forms and applications, and monitored the timely submission of school committee reports and required documentation throughout the school's WASC accreditation process. As a result of my contributions, the school successfully achieved accreditation and continued to provide critical support to systems-impacted youth across Los Angeles County.
