I have a diverse background in languages, literature and education. Finding secondary education early in my career has helped diversify my background in many ways. I love helping people see the value in language and literature in order to open doors to deeper connections with the people and world around them. Studying and teaching Spanish has shown me how deep of an influence culture has not only on language but also literature. I have experience teaching Spanish in a k-12 setting but primarily has spent the majority of my career in a high school setting. I have taught college preparatory levels of Spanish I-IV as well as honors, and for an International Baccalaureate program. Additionally, I have had the privilege of teaching diverse groups of Multilingual learners as both an ML coordinator and interventionist. I have also be trained and taught in a school with students with high needs.
