We work to create lasting youth leadership for the planet through capacity building initiatives that produce youth-led action, benefitting both the environment and local communities.Through working with youth on issues they are passionate about and providing the supportive space for taking risks and attempting new ideas, CoalitionWILD is ensuring that we are not just providing the tools needed to create action, but are imparting in these young leaders the belief that they know how to use those tools best.

The Murie Center envisions a world in which all people understand the connection between wild places and the human spirit. Everyone plays a role in ensuring that people and nature thrive together. In my 4 years with the organization, I worked on furthering that connection between people and nature, specifically focusing on the next generation of rising leaders. As it is with most small nonprofit organizations, our tiny (but mighty!) staff was tasked with wearing an array of hats each day. Some of my specific responsibilities were:• Generating ideas, budgets and plans for new Murie Center programs and communications projects.• With support, executing all on and off Ranch programs and events.• Developing and maintaining of website and social marketing (Facebook, Twitter, Blog) communications tools.• Representing The Murie Center at special events, festivals, programs, etc.• Creating and contributing to Murie Center PR pieces - newsletters, press releases, advertisements, etc.• Supporting visitor interpretation via tours of the historic Murie Ranch

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for neuromuscular diseases. They work by funding worldwide research, by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide, and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement. As the Regional Public Affairs Coordinator, I was responsible for:• Controlling all public relations components (including press releases, advertisements, promotions and partnerships, and media coverage) related to the events of the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Salt Lake City, Reno, Las Vegas, and Hawaii.• Assisting in fundraising for various programs and events• Support creation and implementation of MDA programs, including Fill The Boot, MDA Lock-Up, Hop-A-Thon and the Summer Camp
