Foster relationships with the K-12 education community, particularly those who serve mostly Latinx, Black and Indigenous students and families to collaborate on programs to bring more awareness of the variety of careers in engineering.

Student Outreach Assistant for the Outreach & Engagement Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will support special projects and initiatives, as well as assist with general office work to support the Office’s mission to advance diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all facets of the Division.Participates as a member of the Diversity Champions team; attends and provides support for meetings and activities, including taking meeting notes, providing feedback and membership communication and management.Assists with diversity, equity, and inclusion trainings and workshops, including event set up and take down.Assist with creating an inclusive and welcoming office culture, by such things as collecting and displaying campus and community resources, and answering questions or directing them to the appropriate party.

-Perform and observe restaurant inspections.-Perform and observe pool/spa inspections.-Perform and observe water well inspections. -Research academic journals for Food Safety Management Certification project.-Read and learn Food Code OAR 333-150 and Annex 3: Public Health Reasons. -Read and learn Pool & Spa Operator Handbook.
