I spent 6 years working hard to get what my PARENTS and TEACHERS told me that I should dream: a successful career in business. But spending my days as a luxury slave on the treadmill of a busy lifestyle didn’t feel like a wise choice. I was haunted by a scary thought: when I’ll be on my deathbed, I’ll deeply regret that I never became who I was truly capable of becoming.So I spent another 7 years to get what BOOKS and MASS-MEDIA told me that only the best of the best dare to dream. Being a Management Officer with the Romanian Intelligence Service was a great learning journey. I gained strong training and experience from the best NATO specialists. Exposure to numerous industries offered me invaluable insight, so that I can see, think and act clearly, understand opportunities and risks, develop innovative and smart strategies while taking actions that maximise performance, efficiency and flexibility. I experienced high-quality military leadership, working in complex environments where I built stronger teams by using skills in communicating, planning, organising and following up in an effective and methodical manner. But a heretical idea kept coming to my mind: I should have the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.So I built my own business. But I was wrong (again?!). I stayed stuck in old patterns - because since I was a faithful, loyal, unquestioning child everybody told me that only foolish people dare to dream their UNIQUE, AUTHENTIC, MEANINGFUL dreams. The so-called 'comfort' of familiar thinking overflowed into my commoditized, routinized choices.
