Our U.S. team is charged with transatlantic trade development between the U.K. and the U.S. as well as assisting U.S. companies looking to invest in the U.K.Responsible for supporting British firms liaise and win contracts with the Multi-Lateral Development Bank portfolio in Washington DC.

Working with the Gender Innovation Lab at the WB (GIL), which identifies gender gaps in agricultural productivity, self-employment income, and wage income and conducts impact evaluations to test promising interventions to address them and then encourages research uptake by policymakers.My role consists of the following: 1) Assisting with early-stage activities to support the design of a rigorous impact evaluation;2) Supporting the development of the project concept note, pre-analysis plan, and baseline survey instruments;3) Preparing other project materials such as documents for IRB approval, terms of reference for survey firm, etc.; 4) Conducting descriptive and regression analyses; 5) Developing tables, charts and figures; 6) Conducting a review of relevant academic and policy literature; and7) Assisting in the writing of baseline reports or other outputs, including policy-relevant briefs and talking points, as needed.

With a vision for more evidence and less poverty, IPA tests policy interventions through research to better advise policy makers on how best to address poverty constraints in their country. As a Research Intern, I support the design of impact evaluations across Nigeria and research analyses, data cleaning, and end line report creation.
