I worked with Dr. Michelle Stock on projects regarding implicit theories of racism, political psychology (a 2020 General Election research study), and bias training. I wrote an abstract on the moderating effect of political affiliation on ostracism experiences, anticipated inclusion, anticipated exclusion, need to belong, and social media use. This proposal was accepted to the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) for the Special Undergraduate Poster Session for Spring 2021. It was then presented upon at the EPA Conference and the GW Research Showcase in Spring 2021. I was one of two students in Spring 2021 to be selected for the Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship. This research covered the effects of political rhetoric on group attitudes and polarization.

As part of the Health Promotion in Underserved Communities Institute in the Psychological and Brain Sciences Department at GW, I interned at the Women's Center as an Information and Referral specialist. At the center, I helped provide individuals with information regarding domestic violence, sexual assault, mental health resources, and contact information of lawyers of many relevant fields (criminal law, family law, etc). I also helped lawyers host workshops for the center, primarily through technological means, and created new logging systems for the I&R department. Due to the fact that I interned for the center for the Psychology Institute, I wrote a paper and gave a presentation on addressing barriers to domestic violence and mental health resources as it pertains to the DMV area.
