Awarded the competitive JAE Intro scholarship, I collaborated with Rafael León's esteemed neuropharmacology team, focusing on Alzheimer's research. Synthesizing and characterizing novel compounds, I conducted extensive in vitro studies using Western blot, qPCR, and viability assays. Our pharmacological evaluations revealed promising anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, highlighting the potential for novel therapeutic interventions in neurodegenerative diseases.
