Led the HPE Live Network R&D team in Cluj (up to 11 people) in times of radical changes of technologies & approach. Sourced, interviewed, hired, on boarded, managed, grown and mentored a team of highly skilled engineers. Served the team's interests in the local managerial board.Live Network's business was Content. We have delivered and installed content based on customers' entitlements through the Marketplace Portal, the REST APIs and the command line connector.Have been responsible for 3 different projects:- Live Network Connector (LNc), a Python command line agent for content consumption- Publisher, the Python backend application serving LNc- Live Network Portal: https://hpln.hpe.com, the HPE's Content Marketplace, along with the afferent REST APIs for content consumption.Managed them in separate Agile releases, from planning and development to deployment, using the HPE's Agile Manager tool. Delivered in time and good quality. The technologies span from JavaScript (MEAN stack) to Elasticsearch, Java and Python, on Unix and Windows platforms, using Git for source control, Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery with various lints and automated tests jobs conditioning the successful commits.Offered L4 technical support to HPE's enterprise customers concomitantly for the 3 different projects. Served as point of contact in case of emergency or major incidents.In parallel during 2013-2015, also led an innovative idea named Wingman through the innovation lifecycle: from inception to incubation and seed (see below). Inspired the team to also innovate within HPE.

Led the HP LNc and HPLN Publisher teams; built the HPLN team from 3 to 7 people in 1 year while delivering quarterly releases for both projects. Reviewed the candidates, prepared and conducted the interviews. Also acted as a software designer and developer in the LNc team. The projects run on multiple platforms, they are command line/GUI Python applications: the frontend, respectively the backend of HP Live Network, a key HP distributed application for content consumption.

I was part of the team which developed ACPlant Designer®, the main product of ACPlant Consult Software Development GmbH.ACPlant Designer® is a CAD application for creating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, 3D Piping, and 3D Structural Steel. The ACPlant Designer® software produces an object-oriented data model of the plant, which can be designed and worked on at the same time by different departments or disciplines. ACPlant Designer® lends itself to the following industries: General Pipe Design, Energy and Water Management, Ship Building, Oil and Gas Refineries, Chemical Plants, Food and Beverage Industry, Environmental and Waste Water Technology, Building Services Engineering.ACPlant Designer® provides a data-centric plant design solution to the Power and Process Industry, allowing the customer to use his existing database, forms and reports, as well as input data directly into the design, thus giving the entire project team an accurate flow of information.My main tasks consisted of the analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance and improvement of ACFlow 2D and ACPipe 3D, ACPlant Designer®'s products for plant design and piping. These apps run on top of AutoCAD® and assist the user by placing in the scheme various parts (pumps, valves, tanks, etc.) taken from the customer's database, connecting them with pipelines by routing them automatically and simulating the fluid flow through the scheme. My contribution was on- most of the user interface tools, including the respective business logic- the pipeline automatic crossing algorithm- the pipeline autorouting and sloping algorithms- the algorithm for searching and querying the database and the drawing as well as on other modules, such as ACSpecEdit (a spec editor), ACRepGen (a report generator) and ACPlant Commander.Technologies: C++, Python, C#, AutoLisp. Within a two-person team I developed an application for the Institute of Psychiatry, Denmark Hill, London (London University). This software - "TesLab" was designed for testing millisecond reaction speeds of human subjects undergoing brain scans [ FMRI - Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging ]. While the scan is in progress, via Teslab, subjects experience a sequence of images, sounds and texts. This sequence is defined by a Script which can be prepared by a psychologist or psychiatrist by specifying the image and sound filenames, the text to be displayed, the running time of each event, and the image and/or text location on screen. Teslab runs the script and writes a report as the experiencing subject is scanned and interacts with the perceived aural or visual objects using mouse or the gamepad.Language: C++. Libraries and GUI: MFC. Development Environment: MSDevStudio 6.0/NT 4.I also recruited and supervised Romanian personnel for software projects contracted in London. This operated remotely, via e-mail.

Migrated lots of colour and image algorithms from Pascal to C++; developed many smart UIs in MFC. This was a French company developing software for the textile printing industry.

For PROED Bucharest, a large local waste water management company, I developed together with another person an application, "Progressive detailing of stored drawings", written in C for AutoCAD 12, using its ADS and ASE modules. The application archives the drawings on detail levels, together with their attributes stored within an external database. I learned GIS notions and used various GIS.
