Cristina Sá (PhD, Universidade Nova de Lisboa) is Assistant Professor at the School of Arts of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), teaching in the field of Interaction Design, Media Art and Digital Culture. Former Director of CITAR, now working as researcher, developing an Ontology of the Interface by operating it as the mediation complex that governs experience. Her main research field is Interactive Art. She holds a PhD degree in Communication Science / Audiovisual and Interactive Media. For three semesters (2014/2016) she researched at UC Berkeley as a Visiting Scholar (in Portuguese Studies Program and Berkeley Center for New Media) where she studied different aspects of Portuguese Digital Culture. She has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary fields such as Art and Technology due to a hybrid formation in Engineering, Art and Communication.
